productivity formula ?

Have to thought about changing a production formula a bit?
I will try to show problem in my example:
I had q1 gift company. My employees made ~20 gifts and used ~40 units of diamonds(skill 4)

Now, i have q3 gifts company. Worker's production is now ~13, but he hasn't used 40 units of raw, but only 13 and made 13/6 products

lets say i sell q1 gifts for 5 units of local currency, and i buy raw material for 0.5
my income from one worker is 5*20-40*0.5 = 100 - 20 = 80. If you multiply it with 10 ...

if i sell q3 gifts for 30 units of currency:
30*2-13*0.5 = 60 - 6.5 ~ 55 from one worker


something just ain't right here

i bet there is soem mistake in calculating production of 1 worker. I might try to remember what i will do tomorow in Q1 and day after tomorow in Q3 company. i hope i willfind 2 with same number of workers.

its simple. One production point costs/is 1 raw, it has been so and it will be so in the future, whats strange in that????
Also why would you in hell sell so cheap q3 products? Your calculations are really wrong.

i don't want cheap products, but with this formula, they are insanely expensive, bisides that, raw material usage is decreased. That can be problem in future

Bouth companies had same number of employes i had same wellnes and 1 day diference with work skill, so should be exact.
Q1 company produce 27 pp using 27 RAW and make 13.5 Q1 Gifts
Q3 company produce 9 pp using 9 RAW and make 1.5 Q3 Gift


well as you see, in Q1 you get a bit expenciver 13.5 wellnes in q3 you get a bit cheaper 4.5 wellens. but you can use just 10 Gifts/day, so if you will want more then 10 wellens from Gifts you will have to use expenciver gifts.

In any case 1Q3 gift can not be cheaper then 3 Q1 Gifts! Should be 2-3 times expenciver. depending of cost of RAW and diference between Q1 and Q3 sallaries.

oh you were worried about more resources spend in low q companies. Don't worry about that, it won't make low q companies less profitable. As you realized high q products require more productivity/resources per item but it has also lower productivity per worker. You calculated that all in low skill, high q companies require high skill workers to be more profitable, in vpop atm there aren't any high skill ppl (skill 8+). The formula is just fine as it is. Low q products are made fast and cheap, high q made slow and expensive - the way it should be.

i think he was worried, that he produce less wellnes from Gifts in Q3 company then from Q1 company. But as i stated, there is limit of using Gift per day. so whoever will want to gain 50 wellens every day will have to pay much more.

A Q3 item is worth 3 * 3 = 9x the cost of a Q1 item. Why? It costs:
3x as many production points to produce, making it 3x.
However, there is also that 1/3 multiplier on the productivity formula, making it another 3x as expensive.

3 * 3 = 9, if you're selling Q1 for 5, then Q3 should be 45 or higher.

Higher quality company is using less raw material. isn't it strange? This will make raw comapnies not so needed in future
